Conditions of engagement for AIHW employees are set out in the AIHW Enterprise Agreement (412KB PDF) and Section 24(1) Determination (1,834KB PDF).
Employees must meet the conditions of employment as described in the AIHW Enterprise Agreement (412KB PDF). The conditions of engagement at the Institute may vary depending on the length and type of engagement. As a prospective employee, you are told of exact conditions when you are given your formal offer of engagement. These may include the need for some or all of the following:
- Australian citizenship
- satisfactory completion of a six month probationary period Probation Policy (242KB PDF)
- a character clearance (usually from the Australian Federal Police)
- a health clearance (might not be required for short engagements).
