State and territory supplement on tobacco, alcohol and illicit drug use now available

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) has released the second of its planned three outputs from its 2007 National Drug Strategy Household Survey.

The 2007 National Drug Strategy Household Survey: State and territory supplement follows the Survey's First Results report released in April 2008.

The State and Territory supplement contains 13 tables listing state by state results on tobacco, alcohol and illicit drug use, and community attitudes to tobacco, alcohol, cannabis and heroin measures.

A comprehensive analysis of results from the survey will follow later in the year when a Detailed findings report will be issued.

The 2007 National Drug Strategy Household Survey was conducted between July and November 2007, and included over 23,000 Australians aged 12 years or older.

The 2007 National Drug Strategy Household Survey: State and territory supplement is available on the AIHW's website at www.aihw.gov.au.
