In 2019, or the nearest year, Australia was below the OECD average for number of cigarettes per day. Australian smokers aged 15 and over smoked 12.9 cigarettes per day, compared with 13.3 cigarettes for the OECD average.

Litres per capita of pure alcohol

In 2018, or the nearest year, Australians aged 15 and over consumed 9.5 litres of pure alcohol per capita. This was higher than the OECD average (8.8 litres).
