In 2019–20, there were 320,000 Indigenous-specific follow-up services provided to 149,000 Indigenous Australians by a practice nurse or an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practitioner; 83,000 allied health follow-up services were provided to 33,000 Indigenous Australians.
Of the allied health services, the most common type of Indigenous-specific follow-up were services provided by physiotherapists (about 33,400 services), podiatrists (12,500 services) and Aboriginal health workers (about 11,300 services). Refer to table ‘FS02’ in data tables.
