The aim of this report is to provide a systematic guide on how to report injury in a methodologically robust manner. It was specifically designed for NISU staff. The report draws on a wide range of data sources and draws them together with practical examples pertinent to the injury field.
Jul 2005 - Chapter 3.8, 3.9, 3.10, 3.11, 3.12, 3.13 and Chapter 4 have been revised as there was an error in the calculation of age- and sex-standardised rates using Poisson regression. A new methodology of direct and indirect age- and sex-standardisation of rates has been applied in each of these sections and chapters. Some changes to text to improve clarity.
