In 2015–16, over 330,000 people used disability support services funded under the National Disability Agreement (NDA). With the progressive roll-out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across Australia, many existing NDA service users are expected to move to the NDIS over time
More than half (59%) of all NDA service users were male
The average age of NDA service users was 35
6% of NDA service users were Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people
43% of NDA services users had an intellectual or learning disability
