What is being tracked?

Measure: Proportion of people with disability (aged 15–64, and 65 and over) who are satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers

This measure is part of the Availability of support priority of the Strategy. This priority is about making sure people with disability have access to and receive the support services they need.

The desired outcome is that more people with disability are happy with the assistance they receive from support services.

Has the proportion of people with disability (aged 15–64) satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers changed over time?

The data in the graph and the table below show the proportion of people with disability aged 15–64 who are satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers. Data from 2012 to 2018 are used. In 2018, 79% of people with disability were satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers in 2018, as were 81% in 2012.

Has the proportion of people with disability (aged 65 and over) satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers changed over time?

The data in the graph and the table below show the proportion of people with disability aged 65 and over who are satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers. Data from 2012 to 2018 are used. In 2018, 84% of people with disability were satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers, compared with 88% in 2012.

The data in the graph and the table below show the proportion of people with disability aged 15–64 who are satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers, grouped by Australian states and territories. In 2018, 81% of people with disability in Victoria were satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers, and 74% of those in New South Wales (please note that some categories were not published due to small sample numbers and to protect confidentiality).

    The data in the graph and the table below show the proportion of people with disability aged 15–64 who are satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers, by Indigenous status. In 2018, 69% of First Nations people with disability were satisfied with the quality of assistance received from formal service providers, as were 79% of non-Indigenous people (please note that the proportion for First Nations people has a high margin of error and should be used with caution).
