2023 meetings
The following are the meeting dates for the AIHW Ethics Committee for 2023 (Tuesdays):
- 21 February
- 2 May
- 11 July
- 19 September
- 5 December.
Applications
All applications will be subject to a quality assurance review by the Ethics Secretariat upon receipt.
Once applications have met the requirements of this review they will be allocated to a meeting. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of this review and if cleared, the allocated meeting. Applicants whose applications fail to progress will be advised of the modifications required for their application to progress to Committee review.
Monitoring reports
Please ensure monitoring reports are submitted by their due date. Projects with outstanding monitoring reports are reported to the Committee. Failure to submit annual reports by the due date is a breach of the conditions of project approval and could result in termination or suspension of ethical approval and/or data access.
Data linkage projects
For data linkage projects there are additional requirements that must be met prior to lodging your EthOS application:
- For new applications you will need to complete a feasibility questionnaire. If your project is determined to be feasible, you will then need to complete a Technical Assessment form.
- For amendments, you may also need to amend an existing Technical Assessment or create a new one.
