Background
The Data Asset Steering Committee (DASC) provides advice and guidance to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) in the development and priorities of the National Primary Health Care Data Asset.
Terms of reference
The role of the DASC is to:
- provide high level strategic direction for the Data Asset including defining the scope, aims, objectives, core activities and work plans
- set priorities for the Data Asset including identifying new sources of primary health care data and opportunities for reporting and development activities
- provide expert technical and data development activity advice.
Membership
The DASC comprises members appointed on the basis of their individual expertise or experience. Members are not representatives of their employing organisation.
The DASC is chaired by the AIHW.
